Michael L. Dobrov graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985, where he received his B.A. in History-Political Sciences. He went on to receive his J.D, Law from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1991. In 1999, he received his LL.M (Tax), Tax Law from the Golden Gate University School of Law.
Michael held the position of Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer for U.S. Trust Bank of America until March 2011. Prior to that, he worked at Hanson Bridgett, LLP as their estate planning/tax attorney.

Michael Dobrov now practices law as the proprietor of The Law Offices of Michael L. Dobrov, located in San Francisco and serving the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley. The Law Office of Michael L. Dobrov’s emphasis is in the areas of estate planning and asset protection; advising family businesses on the formation of and the most appropriate type of business structures for them; drafting estate plans integrating the families’ financial philosophy; and maintaining the vitality of the business while maximizing existing tax advantages.
Michael resides in San Francisco, where he enjoys spending time with his family. He is married and has two children.
